Study on Impact of Gold Price Volatility During The Ganesh Chaturti Festival, An Untapped Opportunity For Indian Investors In Multi Commodity Exchange

ABSTRACT

This study examines the Ganesh Chaturthi festival effect on gold commodity prices in the multi commodity exchange. The last 10 years’ data was considered for the research from 2012 to 2021. with the gold mini as a base from MCX. +30 days and – 30 days variation on gold commodity prices have been studied on the occasion of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Different Statistical techniques have been employed like Paired T-test, correlation to assess the relationship between Gold Commodity prices and the Ganesh Chaturthi Festival. The study concludes that Gold Commodity prices and the Ganesh Chaturthi festival are positively related. Entry and exit points for small and new investors have been suggested. investors can reap great rewards in a short period.
