ABSTRACT Introduction: Junk food consumption is increasingly common among adolescents and poses serious health risks. High in sugar, salt, and unhealthy fats but low in nutrients, these foods contribute to obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and weakened immunity. They can also affect concentration, energy levels, and academic performance, while disrupting normal growth. Peer pressure, advertising, and busy lifestyles drive their popularity. Raising awareness about these dangers is essential to encourage healthier eating habits and support long-term well-being. Background: The growing consumption of junk food among adolescents is influenced by factors like marketing, convenience, and lifestyle changes. These foods are often tasty and easily accessible but lack essential nutrients needed for healthy development. Since adolescence is a critical period for growth, poor dietary habits can lead to serious health issues such as obesity, diabetes, and heart problems. This rising trend poses a significant threat to long-term adolescent health and well-being.
