ABSTRACT The main objective of present research work is synthesis and characterization of 1H-Pyrazolo [3, 4-B] Pyridines as antifungal agents. In the Context of synthesis of Pyrazolo pyridines (PP) derivatives, firstly 4-(1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b] pyridin-3-yl) benzaldehyde was synthesized by reflux of 4-(5-amino-1H-pyrazol-3-yl) benzaldehyde with malonaldehyde in presence of acetic acid then formed Schiff base by reacting 4-(1H-pyrazolo[3,4-b] pyridin-3-yl) benzaldehyde with different substituted amines. Characterization of newly synthesized pyrazolo pyridines compounds were formed as Molecular formula, Appearance of absorption bands in compounds at 3345(-NH- N-H str.) and Schiff base at 1655 (C=N str.). Moreover, synthesized compounds characterized by the TLC and melting point. Antimicrobial activities of synthesized trazine derivatives were evaluated in the term of zone of inhibition. These models as such for synthesis give good opportunities to look for discovering ideal lead for antifungal activity.
