Sustainable construction materials can help to decrease the depletion of nonrenewable resources and environmental harm. Sustainable buildings should be developed in such a way that the green materials utilized are equivalent or better than the conventional ones. The chemical, physical, and mechanical qualities of materials, as well as an adequate design, are responsible for a structure's physical strength. To evaluate both sustainable and conventional materials, a system of gathering sets of pricing for both sustainable and conventional materials for a specific project, conducting a quantity survey, and identifying greenhouse emissions, durability, endurance, sturdiness, life cycle, maintenance cost, and carbon footprints must be used. Although simply choosing sustainable building materials is insufficient, there is more to it than that, and that is sustainable construction management. It deals with efficient design and process, the procurement of sustainable materials, the study of building materials, and the environmental consequences of the materials, all of which contribute to the project's successful execution. Many research groups throughout the world have developed many sustainable building materials that match today's laws, regulations and criteria for a fully functional construction. To accomplish this, the building materials chosen and the project management procedures used must be of the highest quality at all times in order to reap the greatest advantage. As a result, the use of construction materials with low adverse footprint is advantageous for long-term growth.
