ABSTRACT The cosmic order Rta is the transcendental basis of the existence. This is eternal and impersonal principle which binds all things and beings together. It is the ground of karma and dharma. Rta is the metaphysical basis of Morality .In Vedas and Upanishads there is no break between physical and moral. One universal principle operates everywhere both at microcosmic and macrocosmic plane. At ethico-legal stand point Rta is Law and from the stand point of reality is Order. The world is a proper sphere of moral values with symmetry and uniformity.
