ABSTRACT
The teachings and Bani of Guru Nanak Dev Ji remain highly relevant in contemporary society. In the present era, humanity is facing several moral and social challenges such as hypocrisy, superstition, materialism, falsehood, corruption, and social discrimination. These issues have led to a decline in ethical values and created imbalance and unrest in society. Guru Nanak Dev Ji strongly criticized social evils, religious hypocrisy, caste discrimination, and blind rituals. Through his Bani, he emphasized the values of truth, equality, compassion, humanity, and honest living. His philosophy promotes universal brotherhood and spiritual awareness, guiding humanity toward a more just and harmonious society. This study explores the contemporary relevance of Guru Nanak Bani and highlights its significance in addressing modern social and ethical challenges. It argues that Guru Nanak’s teachings are not limited to religious boundaries but represent a universal message for human welfare. In today’s world, where intolerance, selfishness, and moral decline are increasing, Guru Nanak’s philosophy offers a path toward peace, unity, and truth. Therefore, his Bani continues to serve as a guiding force for building moral awareness and social harmony in modern society.
