ABSTRACT Dysphagia is a common complication in patients undergoing treatment for head and neck cancers, including oropharyngeal carcinoma. Chemotherapy, often used as part of a combined treatment approach, can worsen swallowing difficulties by causing mucosal damage, weakening muscles, and inducing neuropathy.
