The Impact of Vibration Damping on the Sound Quality of Automotive Audio Systems

ABSTRACT The article examines the impact of vibration damping on the acoustic properties of automotive audio systems, which is a critical task for car audio developers and automotive acoustics specialists. The objective of the study is to determine the effect of various vibration-damping materials on the acoustic perception of sound within a vehicle. The results demonstrated that implementing high-quality vibration damping reduces vibration interference, enhances sound quality, minimizes distortions, and lowers background noise caused by the vehicle body. Additionally, it was found that the use of advanced materials improves low-frequency control and enhances the clarity of high frequencies.
