The Science Behind Doppelgangers: How Strangers Can Look Alike Without Being Related
Author Name : Dr. Manoj Pathak, Sapna Tiwari
ABSTRACT Doppelgangers, or unrelated individuals who closely resemble each other, have fascinated researchers and the public alike. This study explores the genetic basis of such striking physical similarities, analyzing whether they arise due to shared genetic markers, random chance, or environmental influences. Using contemporary research in genomics and computational facial recognition, this paper investigates the relationship between genetic makeup and phenotypic expression in doppelgangers. Live examples, such as the striking resemblance between Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and her look-alikes, are examined in the context of genetic convergence and modern machine learning methodologies.
