The used of Artificial Intelligence as a Tools in Development English Grammar and Vocabulary among Libyan EFL Students

ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence (AI) is embedded in language education, providing a wide range of advantages and opportunities, particularly in the teaching and learning of English as a Foreign Language (EFL). While a considerable body of research has examined the role of AI in EFL contexts, limited attention has been given to its influence on the acquisition of grammar and vocabulary, especially within Arab countries. To address this gap, the present study explores the role of AI tools in supporting the development of grammar and vocabulary among Libyan EFL students. The study involved 160 Libyan students from a government universitybetween two groups one from English département while the second is from general department. Data were gathered through a survey instrument. The results demonstrated that learners generally held positive attitudes toward the use of AI tools in enhancing their grammar and vocabulary knowledge.Further analysis revealed a significant difference in learners’ perceptions regarding the impact of AI tools on grammar and vocabulary development, though no significant variation was observed between two groups (English and General).
