Author Name : Mrinmoyee Bhattacharya

ABSTRACT The trajectory of Social Network Analysis (SNA) research is examined in this review paper prior to, during, and post-COVID-19 epidemic. Understanding social networks is essential to comprehending society structures and human interactions. Social dynamics have been profoundly affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, which has led to a reassessment of social networks and their ramifications. To explain how social network research has changed over so many years, we examine important papers, approaches, and trends in SNA. Prior to COVID-19, SNA research was thriving in a number of fields, providing insights into information sharing, network topologies, and social behavior. SNA techniques changed throughout the pandemic to investigate new topics including the dissemination of false information, social distancing tactics, and online communities. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, scholars consider the consequences of the outbreak and propose novel avenues for SNA research, taking into account the changing social structures and technological breakthroughs. Comparative studies draw attention to changes in multidisciplinary cooperation, research focus, and methodology. Our results highlight the flexibility and robustness of SNA as a paradigm for study, providing insightful knowledge about social networks during and after crises.
