ABSTRACT Moringa oleifera is a famous magical tree or tree of life. It is a rapidly growing famine hence widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical areas. Ethnomedicinal and traditional uses of Moringa signify that this plant might have an immense therapeutic efficacy against most human ailments. It has a vast range of medicinal uses with great nutritional value. In the indigenous system of medicine, various parts of this plant are being occupied for the treatment of different diseases. The leaves are a huge source of vitamins (especially vitamins A, B, and C), minerals (calcium, iron), and protein and other essential phytochemicals, Extracts from the leaves are used to treat malnutrition and enhance breast milk in lactating mothers. It implicit as an antioxidant, anticancer, antiinflammatory, antidiabetic, and antimicrobial agent. Most of the recent studies suggested that Moringa should be used as a functional ingredient in food. This review spotlights on the pharmacogenetic investigation, pharmacological activity, and the various formulations available in the market to increase awareness among people about this magic plant furthermore, nutraceutical formulations develop consequently large-scale population relish the nutritional benefits of this plant. Additionally, it examines the plant’s traditional uses in different cultures and its emerging role in modern medicine and the nutraceutical industry.
