ABSTRACT In today's world the use of Computer is need for survive. But the handicap & Blind people they are not able to handle the computer devices due to their physical disabilities so we create the system called desktop voice assistant which will help them to use computer with ease. This paper is a part of proposed system that aim. at designing a system software that will take the voice command and execute as said. And its mainly focuses on reducing the use of hardware like keyboard, mouse & touch-pad. Independent gadgets are becoming more brilliant in their manner to connect with both a human and themselves. The objective of this paper is to existing the concepts about Speech Recognition Systems beginning from the evolution to the advancements that have now been tailored to the Speech Recognition Systems to make them more hearty and precise. This paper has the certain find out about of the mechanism, the challenges and the tools to overcome these challenges with a concluding notice that would ensure that with the developments of the technologies, this world is surely going to trip revolutionary adjustments in the near future.
