Work-Life Balance through Digital Transformation for Organizational Effectiveness

A healthy work-family balance leads to a healthy work-life balance. Because of the growth in employment, longer working hours owing to insufficient family income, and a target-driven work culture, it is difficult to achieve a decent work-life balance. It is also clear that advances in digital technology have made everyone accessible outside of conventional working hours.The concept of digital transformation and its effectiveness has been a point of contention in the past decade. Many people have seen digital transformation as an ongoing process, leading to the use of digital maturity to predict the success of a digital transformation effort. However, it is important to recognize that digital transformation is a long journey comprised of multiple digitalization projects, and the effectiveness of each aspect is essential for the success of the entire process. This paper seeks to provide a multi-dimensional concept of digital transformation regarding organizational effectiveness. The study examines the various approaches used to conceptualize this concept and synthesizes the findings to identify key factors that contribute to successful outcomes. The review also provides insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with digital transformation initiatives.
